Every candle and wax melt is thoughtfully handcrafted in small batches using premium ingredients and natural soy wax. Following these care recommendations will help you enjoy the best fragrance, appearance, and performance from your products while using them safely.

Candle Care

Before Each Burn

Always trim your wick to approximately ¼ inch before lighting your candle. Keeping your wick trimmed helps produce a cleaner burn, reduces soot, and extends the life of your candle.

Your First Burn Matters

The first burn helps set the "memory" of your candle.

Allow the wax to melt completely across the surface of the jar before extinguishing the flame. This usually takes approximately 2–4 hours, depending on the candle size.

Doing so helps prevent tunneling and promotes an even burn throughout the life of your candle.

Burn Time

For the best performance, burn your candle for no more than four hours at a time.

Allow the candle to cool completely before relighting.

When to Stop Burning

Discontinue use when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the jar.

Burning a candle beyond this point may cause the jar to overheat.

Wax Melt Care

Our wax melts are designed to provide a flameless way to enjoy your favorite Whiskerlight fragrances.

For best results:

• Use only approved wax warmers designed for wax melts.
• Do not add water to the wax.
• Do not leave a wax warmer unattended while in use.
• Allow the wax to cool before removing or replacing it.
• Dispose of used wax properly once the fragrance has faded.

Handmade Product Characteristics

Every Whiskerlight candle and wax melt is individually handcrafted, making each product one of a kind.

Because our products are handmade, slight variations in color, decorative wax toppers, labels, and overall appearance are completely normal and should be expected.

These small differences are part of the charm and uniqueness of handcrafted products.

Natural Soy Wax

We proudly use natural soy wax because it burns cleanly and beautifully.

As with all natural soy wax products, you may notice characteristics such as:

• Frosting
• Wet spots
• Slight color variations
• Minor air bubbles

These are natural characteristics of soy wax and do not affect the quality, fragrance, or performance of your candle or wax melt.

Fragrance Oil & Color Changes

Some fragrance oils naturally deepen or change color over time. This is especially common with bakery, vanilla, spice, bourbon, and darker fragrance blends.

Additionally, exposure to direct sunlight, UV light, or prolonged heat may cause candles and wax melts to naturally discolor or fade over time.

These changes are completely normal and do not affect the safety, fragrance, or overall performance of your product.

To help preserve the appearance of your candle or wax melt, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Decorative Wax Toppers

Many of our candles feature handcrafted decorative wax toppers.

Because each topper is individually made and placed by hand, slight differences in size, shape, placement, and appearance are natural.

These variations are part of what makes every Whiskerlight candle unique.

Candle Safety

For your safety, always:

• Burn candles within sight.
• Keep away from children and pets.
• Place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
• Keep away from flammable materials.
• Keep candles away from drafts, vents, and ceiling fans.
• Never move a burning candle.
• Never extinguish a candle with water.

Wax Melt Safety

For safe use of wax melts:

• Use only warmers specifically designed for wax melts.
• Keep warmers away from children and pets.
• Do not touch melted wax while hot.
• Never leave a wax warmer unattended while in use.
• Unplug or turn off your warmer when not in use.

Storage Tips

To keep your Whiskerlight products looking and performing their best:

• Store in a cool, dry location.
• Avoid direct sunlight.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive heat.
• Store with lids securely in place when not in use.
